My company held a Christmas Charity Get-Together Party last 15th of December 2006 (Friday). The purpose is to have fun while collecting donations for the disabled children of Taman Megah, Cheras. The preparation for the event started in early November and went on throughout the whole month into December. Few days before the event, everyone in the office helped out in decorating the whole office with beautiful ornaments and cute Christmas decorations. Our pantry was transformed into a stage with all the band equipments and not to forget, tents were set-up in the backyard filled with dinner tables and chairs.

On the day of the party, everyone was busy finishing up their work and getting ready for the guests to arrive. The food division started their preparation earlier, making lots and lots of sushi, toasting garlic bread and helping the cook (Kak Asma) with the dishes for the buffet. We had quite a menu, from chicken lasagnas to chicken chop, to potato salad, spaghetti and down right to our very own Blue Karipaps.

The guests started pouring in at about 7pm. They comprises of people from other agencies, production houses, audio houses, celebrities and friends and families of the staff. Yeah… you heard me… Celebrities~~~

There were lots of events lined up for the night such as Art Auction (artwork from some of the staff and they’re really good), music from live band and Christmas songs sung by choir, performances by our boss and other producers. There were even songs auction going on. (Songs auction is when a person is requested to perform a song; in this case a Christmas carol, and everyone will keep auctioning for the person to sing and in the end, the person with the highest bid gets the song. In other words, the person who were required to sing earlier will have to sing no matter what-la… Un?) Hehe…

Wishing on a wish tree~~~


The party went on till the wee hours in the morning. All of the hard work put in to make this event a success finally paid off when our accountant who had spent the last few hours counting out the collection announced that we’ve collected over RM 25,000 worth of donations! Woohoo~~~
